Mulching the Native Trail

Room 15, 9A and 16 had a turn of mulching the Native trail today.

First we put newspaper around the plants and then tipped bark mulch on the newspaper.

We had some big buddies from Room 3 to help us.

We enjoyed ourselves.

Bible in schools assembly

Today we had our final Bible session.  We had a special assembly where we sang some songs and watched a Christmas Video and danced a dance.

We enjoyed a special performance by Alex who told us about gifts.

We performed the "Nothing is Impossible" dance and then presented our Bible Teachers with Gifts.

Hello World, today is our final Syndicate Assembly for 2018 but we have our celebration assembly soon.

Rooms 20,15, 16, 18 and a group of girls all presented various pieces of work and artwork.  The Middle Syndicate has been busy this term.

Well done Amelena, Sophie and Angus for your well deserved certificates.

We presented our Georgia O'Keeffe inspied Flowers.  We used Pastel to draw our flowers and used the smudging techique to add features.

Back to School Howick Village

We experienced Mrs Whites classroom.  After checking nails we got into learning

What is "Itsmith" Mrs White asked.

The children wrote "Idle people never prosper" on their slates.

Toys R Us at Howick Village

Toys were made out of wood,  string and ribbon.

Room 16 had lots of fun playing with all the different toys.

Unpacking the Trunk

The Fencibles travelled from England to NZ on ships taking 3 months.

These people could only come with one trunk.

We started unpacking the trunk to make a cup of tea then make a pudding.

We did ironing and used a chamber pot.
