Mulching the Native Trail

Room 15, 9A and 16 had a turn of mulching the Native trail today.

First we put newspaper around the plants and then tipped bark mulch on the newspaper.

We had some big buddies from Room 3 to help us.

We enjoyed ourselves.

Our Little Gardens

Today we repotted our plants into containers.  Everyone repotted their plant - splitting the plants so everyone had one was hard so Whaea did it.

We are so lucky!

Puss in Boots Pet Detective Show

Today our school went to see the Puss N Boots Show in the Hall.

Finn and Rebecca showed us how to "floss"

Where is Justin Baby Bear? The crime of the century has occurred - where is she?  What is the ransome?   Who will pay it? Did Miss Coffer kidnap her?

It is with pleasure we found the princess kidnapped Justin Baby Bear yeahhhhh

Enviro Letter Painting

Today we painted our class letters F and O as our contribution to our Class Letter Painting for Environmental Week.

Get NZ Writing

Over the last 2 weeks we have been taking part in the Warehouse Stationery "Get NZ Writing"

The class we will be swapping our writing with is Room 7 a Year 3/4 class from Fenwick School in Oamaru.

Today Marco Sienna and Kiralee did a search on our Chrome books to find out about our buddy class and school.  Sienna found out they have blue uniforms like us.

Kiralee found out that they have Cameras and I PADS in their classrooms.  Marco found they had a swimming pool and have 13 classrooms while we have 22.

We have learnt about adjectives and metaphors for our postcards and completed our class poster.

This afternoon we will be delivering our package to the office for the courier to pick up tomorrow.

We can't wait for our parcel to arrive!!!!!

2nd Snorkeling Group

Here we are putting on our life jackets then the snorkels and flippers.

In go our parents then it's our turn.

"It''s real fun" said Amelena. 

At first the less confident children hesitated to put the snorkel and goggles on but once they got used to them they were off in the middle of the pool.

Our instructors name was Cathy and she was kind and really helped us lots.  Thank you Cathy!
