Going home!!!

Another successful Millennium Trip completed.

A big  thank you to my wonderful parent helpers Natalie (Keeleys Mum) Stephanie (Olivers Mum) Hamish (Angus' Dad)  Lewis (Siennas Dad).

Also a big thank you to the Millenium Teaching Staff ... it is such a buzz to see the progress my children make during the day.

There was much fun and learning had by all!!!

Life Saving

This afternoon Room 16 will be Life Saving and Kayaking.

First we put on our life jackets.

We learnt different techniques including the huddle.  We saved each other in our boat yeaay.

We learnt that when we need help in the water do not swim freestyle because our arms are out of the water and we get cold really fast but if we dog paddle or breast stroke our arms stay in the water and we don't get as cold.  Good to remember!

Kayaking

This afternoon Room 16 will be Kayaking and Life Saving.

1st we learnt how to tip in our kayak safely.

Then we had a workshop on paddling and then we were  let loose on the water!!

1st Activity Snorkelling

Our first swimming activity is snorkeling.   Before getting into the pool we had our safety brief learning how to put our life jackets on.

We are now getting our gear on and ready to snorkel yeaaayyyy.

Millennium Trip - ....and off we go yeaaaay

It's 9.12am we're on the bus ready for a fun-filled day at the Millennium Pool.
